The Dragons split a pair of close road contests last weekend, beating Shelbyville 66-64 and falling to Connersville 50-49. The Dragons now sit at 12-7 with just three games left. As the season as rolled along, interestingly, none of the Dragons primary ball handlers are the most efficient scorer on the team. That title goes to the 6'4" center Kyle King who is shooting over 60% from the field thanks to a hot streak of shooting over the last month. Matthew True continues to lead the way behind the 3-point arc. Maximum Gizzi has past Dawson Eastes to become the second most reliable shooter from deep. The Dragons appear to be hitting their stride offensively. New Palestine has seven players with an above average offensive rating(>100) including their two guards who both have astronomical ratings above 120. Matthew True leads the team in true shooting percentage with over 63%. The Dragons have three games remaining including a date tonight with arch rival Mt. Vernon. New Palestine must win tonight and hope for a Delta loss to secure a piece of the HHC Crown.

The Dragons' season keeps rolling as they are currently 11-6 on the year with five games left to play. Through their 17th game, Gizzi is leading the way with 17.1 ppg. True trails him with 15.3. Eastes is third with 12.9. Eastes has been a tremendous rebounder, leading the team with 6.6 rpg. Generally, the same efficiency ratings have rang true. Matthew True has held the highest offensive rating for much of the season, followed by Gizzi and Eastes and King. Seniors Jack Walker, Dylan Romine and Jacob Hockett also boast solid ratings. The Dragons face a very winnable schedule in the last stretch of their season. With five games left, it seems likely the Dragons match or surpass their 15 win season from a year ago.
